BEAUTY... Is it a look or a way? Welcome to SIMPLE TRUTHS! I am so excited to share this incredible journey with you. It only seems appropriate that my first blog on SIMPLE TRUTHS would be on the subject of beauty. Beauty is what Darshan is all about and don't we all want to look beautiful! However, skin care and cosmetic companies are a dime a dozen, and there are many fine products to choose from. So what really attracted me to Darshan, beyond their incredible skin care products, was that their philosophy is not that everyone should look beautiful, but rather their belief that each of us is beauty itself. This is where many people, including myself, have gone astray and wasted a ton of time distressed about our appearances, and, also, wasted a ton of money trying to change much that is genetically unchangeable! I have come to find out that real beauty is not an appearance, but an essence. Beauty is a way of being. Today's definition of beauty by society focuses on a limited perception of a perfected physical form. And there is nothing wrong with wanting to look more like this form, even if that form tends to disappear when turned sideways. I will always want to look a little better, a little less wrinkled, and, dare I say it, a little less droopy as the years go by. But no matter how much weight I lose, or how many wrinkles I iron, inject, or steam away, there is no guarantee that I will feel any more beautiful. Just listen to the comments from svelte models and actresses complaining about their darned-if-I-can-find-them imperfections. The SIMPLE TRUTH is that beauty can be achieved by everyone. We all can do beautiful acts of kindness each day. We all can see and feel the beauty of life in us and all around us. This is what feeds our inner sense of beauty and satisfies our soul. Beauty is a way of being. Maybe that is why it begins with be. Let us know how you view beauty. How do you bring beauty into the world?
